As Bihar heads towards Assembly elections, BJP President Dilip Jaiswal lauds singer Maithili Thakur for joining the party, emphasizing her role in promoting the state's cultural heritage. The party exudes confidence in NDA's victory while announcing candidates for the forthcoming electoral battle against the opposition's INDIA bloc.

As Bihar gears up for the state Assembly elections, Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) state president, Dilip Jaiswal, hailed the entrance of folk and devotional singer Maithili Thakur into the party. According to Jaiswal, Thakur's involvement underscores the rich cultural history of Bihar and Mithila, shining a spotlight on the region globally.

In a statement to ANI, Jaiswal expressed, "Maithili Thakur is a beacon of Bihar's heritage and serves as an inspiration for future generations. It is the responsibility of the state's people to support her progress." Thakur's induction into the BJP took place alongside her endorsement by the party's top leadership in Patna.

During a press conference, Jaiswal also voiced confidence in the National Democratic Alliance's (NDA) electoral success, projecting a resounding majority. He criticized the opposition Mahagathbandhan as "disheartened" and hinted at defections, suggesting a shift towards BJP by some of their members.

The BJP has released a list of candidates for the upcoming elections, marking their strategic preparation for the polls set on November 6 and 11, with final counts by November 14. The electoral landscape features an NDA alliance contesting against a coalition led by RJD's Tejashwi Yadav.

This political arena will see new faces, including Prashant Kishor's Jan Suraaj, adding intrigue to the contest as Bihar's political factions battle for dominance in a tightly contested election.
