ASEAN's Roadmap to Peace in Myanmar

Malaysia's Foreign Minister, Mohamad Hasan, expressed that ASEAN's five-point peace plan for Myanmar is feasible. During a meeting, Southeast Asian leaders urged Myanmar to implement the plan and permit aid distribution. Although they can't halt upcoming elections, ASEAN emphasizes the need for fair and inclusive processes.

Malaysia's Foreign Minister, Mohamad Hasan, highlighted the plausibility of implementing ASEAN's five-point peace plan for Myanmar during discussions with Southeast Asian leaders on Friday.

Hasan urged Myanmar to execute the strategy and facilitate the distribution of humanitarian aid, underscoring the urgency of the matter.

While acknowledging that the bloc cannot prevent the general election scheduled for later this year, he stressed the importance of ensuring the elections are fair and inclusive to support regional stability.
