On Tuesday, India made a fervent appeal for the world to adopt a 'zero tolerance' stance against terrorism in every form. The call was pronounced by External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar during the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) Council of Heads of Government meeting, emphasizing the absence of any justification or leniency in tackling terrorism.
Jaishankar asserted that India will exercise its right to protect its people from terrorist activities, while advocating for the SCO to modernize its objectives and reform its practices to adapt to global shifts.
Underscoring the global economic volatility, Jaishankar called for de-risking and diversifying economic engagements. He highlighted the essential role of cultural exchanges in strengthening ties within the influential bloc, stressing India's dedication to enhancing connections with SCO members.
