Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav has launched a fierce criticism against the BJP and the Election Commission, accusing them of hastily conducting the Special Intensive Revision of electoral rolls.
Speaking at a press conference, Yadav alleged that the hasty process, coinciding with wedding season in Uttar Pradesh, was aimed at undermining voter rights.
He pointed out inconsistencies in the government's claims regarding SIR form distribution and questioned the assignment of unqualified personnel to assist in the revision process.
