Abhishek Banerjee, the Trinamool Congress national general secretary, launched a scathing attack on the BJP on Saturday, accusing the party of revamping four-month-old Election Commission notifications to spin false narratives.
Banerjee highlighted a news claim that the Election Commission had doubled the remunerations for booth level officers and supervisors, clarifying with original notice copies that these changes were not recent. He criticized the BJP for using outdated information to magnify the poll body's image amid ongoing controversies.
Banerjee argued that, despite the BJP's broad use of government machinery and tools like the media and judiciary, the party's strategies were failing. He boldly declared that Bengal would defeat the BJP again, alluding to a significant mandate return. Additionally, he challenged BJP leaders to step out from behind their allegedly stale propaganda.
