In a bid to resolve the leadership crisis in Karnataka, the Congress high command, including Sonia Gandhi, engaged in crucial discussions on Saturday. However, the meeting failed to yield any concrete decisions, leaving the matter unresolved and scheduling another session soon.
Top Congress leaders like party president Mallikarjun Kharge and former president Rahul Gandhi participated in the deliberations held at 10, Janpath. Their main aim was to ease the rising tensions between Karnataka's Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and his deputy D.K. Shivakumar.
Meanwhile, Congress is planning a December 14 rally against alleged electoral fraud. Despite recent tensions, the party remains united, with Siddaramaiah and Shivakumar engaging in meetings to maintain party solidarity ahead of the upcoming Belagavi session.
