YSRCP leader Margani Bharat has pointed fingers at Union Civil Aviation Minister Kinjarapu Ram Mohan Naidu, holding him accountable for the ongoing aviation crisis in the country.
Bharat claims that the introduction of the new Flight Duty Time Limitation (FDTL) rules, which increased the pilots' mandatory rest period from 36 to 48 hours, was done without a proper departmental review. This abrupt implementation has reportedly led to a significant pilot shortage, crippling the aviation industry.
IndiGo, one of the major airline operators, has suffered widespread flight cancellations due to the sudden need for nearly 900 additional pilots. Bharat also criticized the TDP spokespersons for praising IT Minister Nara Lokesh, who allegedly lacks authority over the aviation sector but is being credited with crisis management efforts.
