West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee delivered a stern rebuke to the BJP following an attack on two food vendors during a Bhagavad Gita recital in Kolkata, declaring the state will not tolerate intimidation or communal division.
Speaking at a public meeting in Krishnanagar, Banerjee announced swift arrests of the accused and condemned the BJP's alleged attempt to import a 'culture of communal division' and misuse religious texts for political ends.
Highlighting broader issues, she accused the BJP of marginalizing Bengalis across India and vowed to protect personal freedoms, ensuring no detention camps would be allowed in the state.
