Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde paid homage at the memorial of RSS founder K B Hedgewar in Nagpur, alongside other BJP and Shiv Sena legislators.
Notably absent were NCP legislators, including Deputy CM Ajit Pawar, even though they are part of the ruling Mahayuti coalition.
This was consistent with last year's event where Pawar had also skipped the memorial visit. The winter session of the Maharashtra legislature is currently underway.
