Pankaj Chaudhary, Union Minister of State for Finance, has been appointed as the new president of the BJP's Uttar Pradesh unit, marking a significant development in the party's regional leadership.

The announcement was made by Union Minister Piyush Goyal, with Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and other prominent leaders in attendance. Chaudhary, who was the sole candidate, submitted his nomination to former Union minister Mahendra Nath Pandey.

As a seven-time Lok Sabha MP with strong connections to top leaders like Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Chaudhary is expected to lead the party to success in the 2027 assembly elections.
