In a significant announcement, Jammu and Kashmir's Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha declared that large parts of the country, especially the northeast, are increasingly free from terrorism threats. He reported a sharp decline in local recruitment for terror activities and stressed the ongoing efforts to eliminate remaining threats.
Sinha, addressing a strategic management forum at IIM Jammu, highlighted the evolving nature of terrorism involving educated individuals. He underscored the necessity of society and administrative bodies working alongside security forces to eradicate such threats in regions like Karnataka, Kerala, and Jammu and Kashmir.
He further accused Pakistan of continuing to infiltrate terrorists across the border but assured they would be eliminated, fostering growing public confidence against terrorism. Sinha also called for the end of divisive narratives that hinder development progress.
