During his stay from Wednesday to Saturday, Starmer is scheduled to meet key Chinese figures, including President Xi Jinping, Premier Li Qiang, and China's top legislator Zhao Leji. The announcement was made by Guo Jiakun, a spokesperson for the Chinese foreign ministry, during a regular news briefing.
The visit is seen as part of China's broader strategy to strengthen relations with major global economies, particularly the Group of Seven nations, amid shifting international dynamics.
