Tamil Nadu's BJP chief, Nainar Nagenthran, has sharply criticized actor-politician Vijay, challenging him to clarify the policies of his party, the Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, ahead of the upcoming Assembly election.
Nagenthran questioned whether Vijay's party had any actionable policies. He urged for transparency and challenged Vijay to stop leveraging the legacies of prominent political figures like M G Ramachandran and J Jayalalithaa if he is to rely solely on his own political merit.
Addressing the alliance dynamics, Nagenthran dismissed speculations about the NDA's coherence in Tamil Nadu, affirming Edappadi K Palaniswami's role as the chief ministerial candidate. Meanwhile, he suggested internal conflict within the DMK-Congress alliance, referencing a recent meeting between DMK MP Kanimozhi and Rahul Gandhi.
