Tamil Nadu's State Minister, T M Anbarasan, has pointed fingers at the preceding AIADMK regime for inadequately managing the inflow of ganja into the state. Addressing a meeting, he discussed contemporary measures being enforced to tackle the issue.

Anbarasan highlighted that about 10,000 individuals from northern states arrive in Chennai daily, with some smuggling small amounts of ganja. He stressed that Tamil Nadu uniquely enforces a ban on the substance, contrasting it with other states.

The Minister also criticized AIADMK leader Edappadi K Palaniswami for extended criticism of the ruling DMK during assembly sessions, attributing the current condition to past governance failures. Anbarasan's remarks come amid political tensions over law and order and other issues.
