On Saturday, Union Minister Nityanand Rai dismissed speculations about the formation of a new centrally administered territory by partitioning districts from Bihar and West Bengal.
Rai's statement aimed to clear the air after Independent MP Rajesh Ranjan, also known as Pappu Yadav, alleged such plans were in motion under BJP's strategy. He criticized Yadav's claim as baseless and misleading.
Yadav had suggested a connection between recent political appointments and BJP's intentions, which included the potential creation of a Union territory from certain districts. However, Rai firmly rejected these allegations, urging the public to disregard them.
