Senior BJP leader Mukhtar Abbas Naqvi expressed deep condolences over the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei on Monday, calling for peace in the tumultuous region of West Asia.

During his visit to the Iranian Embassy in India, Naqvi met with Ambassador Mohammad Fathali, offering heartfelt sympathies. He reiterated that war only exacerbates problems and advocated for peace as essential for humanity's safety.

Naqvi emphasized the importance of restoring peace to protect the many Indians living in Iran and other Gulf countries. Following recent military strikes by the US and Israel, which killed Khamenei, an uptick in violence prompted India's call for dialogue and diplomatic solutions.
