The political climate in West Bengal intensified as Governor RN Ravi convened a private meeting with state officials. Among the attendees were newly appointed Chief Secretary Dushyant Nariyala and Home Secretary Sanghamitra Ghosh.
This meeting, held at Lok Bhavan, included key figures like DGP Siddh Nath Gupta and Kolkata Police Commissioner Ajay Kumar Nand. Spanning around 30 minutes, it was reportedly a courtesy call.
However, it coincided with the Election Commission's recent reshuffling of senior officers, stirring questions as the state braces for its two-phased elections on April 23 and 29, with counting set for May 4.
