Prime Minister Narendra Modi is set to arrive in Chennai on Friday before heading to Puducherry for a significant roadshow prior to the April 9 assembly elections in the Union Territory.
The roadshow, stretching 1.7 km from Ajantha Signal junction to Anna Square, will commence shortly after his arrival at 4.15 pm. It aims to bolster support for the ruling AINRC-led NDA coalition, which includes BJP, AIADMK, and LJK.
Anticipated to draw a crowd of over 30,000, the roadshow will see Modi rally alongside key NDA figures, including Puducherry Chief Minister N Rangasamy. Following the event, he will return to Chennai for an overnight stay in Guindy, then engage in a private meeting with BJP leaders on April 4.
