Smriti Irani, a prominent leader from BJP, launched a scathing attack on the West Bengal ruling party TMC, accusing them of rampant corruption and fiscal mismanagement, and promising Rs 3,000 monthly support under the 'Matri Shakti Bharosa Card' initiative for women if the BJP secures power in the state.
Addressing a press conference, Irani detailed the alleged misuse of significant central funds by the TMC government and flagged serious concerns over law and order issues, particularly relating to women's safety. She cited various incidents and questioned the state's governance policies, including the creation of fake job cards and the misuse of funds.
Irani also highlighted BJP's promises in their manifesto, which includes financial support for women, employment opportunities, and increased women's representation in government jobs, criticizing TMC's diversionary tactics amidst these pressing issues.
