Union Minister Piyush Goyal expressed optimism about the Bharatiya Janata Party's (BJP) chances in the upcoming assembly elections, speaking to reporters after the polls concluded. Despite mixed exit poll projections, Goyal stated that the party remains unfazed, placing its trust firmly in the electorate.

The exit polls suggested a strong performance for the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) in Assam and a potential historic victory in West Bengal. While projections indicated a return of the current DMK-led alliance in Tamil Nadu, they also pointed to a surprising performance by actor-turned-politician Vijay's Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam (TVK).

Kerala's exit polls, meanwhile, showed the Congress-led United Democratic Front (UDF) poised to disrupt the ruling Left Democratic Front (LDF). Political analysts and party faithful eagerly await the final results, which will be declared on May 4.
