On Monday, Congress workers converged at the home of Leader of Opposition VD Satheesan and the state party office in Thiruvananthapuram as the Keralam Assembly election vote counting got underway. Enthusiastic supporters tracked early trends and shared their belief in a favorable outcome for the United Democratic Front (UDF).
Congress candidate M Vincent, vying for the Kovalam Assembly seat, conveyed unwavering confidence in securing a victory, anticipating a 'good majority' for the UDF across the state. His optimism stems from his decade-long commitment and service to the local populace.
As counting progressed over 823 constituencies across four states and one Union Territory, initial results indicated the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ahead in Assam. Meanwhile, in Keralam, the Congress and the Left Democratic Front (LDF) are neck and neck, each surpassing 50 leads.
