Kerala BJP chief Rajeev Chandrasekhar has described the party's success in securing three assembly seats as a preliminary step towards eventually seizing power in the state. Addressing a reception, Chandrasekhar cited the BJP's journey in West Bengal, where the party rose from having just five MLAs to nearly forming a government.
Chandrasekhar expressed confidence that the BJP would gain more representatives in future elections, much like its expansion in West Bengal. He conveyed that their politics centers on development and accountability, contrasting it with corruption. The remarks were made at a reception following the wins in Nemom, Kazhakoottam, and Chathannoor constituencies.
BJP leader V Muraleedharan emphasized that the elected MLAs would address citizens' issues in the Assembly, particularly the contentious Sabarimala-related cases. He questioned whether the current government would revoke cases against Sabarimala protestors and how it plans to tackle the Sabarimala gold loss controversy.
