Political Turmoil: Aide's Assassination Sparks Outrage

In a horrific escalation of post-election violence, Chandranath Rath, known associate of BJP figure Suvendu Adhikari, was assassinated in North 24 Parganas. His driver, Buddhadeb Bera, suffered severe injuries and is in critical care.
The police confirmed the targeted attack happened around 10.30 pm when assailants intercepted Rath’s car near his residence. The attackers then opened fire and fled the scene.
The incident has sparked outrage across West Bengal, fueling allegations of deliberate political violence amidst the already volatile political climate in the region.
