Sajjan Singh Yadav, the freshly appointed president of the BJP Kisan Morcha in Bhind, has been removed from his position. His dismissal on Thursday follows a large vehicle rally that contradicted Prime Minister Narendra Modi's recent appeal for austerity.

The rally, comprising hundreds of vehicles, was held in Bhind city to mark Yadav's new role. However, it was deemed as gross indiscipline by the party's top circle, especially at a time when Modi emphasized the need to conserve fuel and foreign exchange, amid an ongoing crisis in West Asia.

MP BJP chief Hemant Khandelwal confirmed Yadav's removal, saying it was due to his failure to heed repeated appeals for conserving resources, suggesting alternatives like carpooling and increased use of public transportation.
