Romanian leu at equilibrium level, central bank chief says

The ​Romanian ‌leu is ​at an equilibrium level ‌after hitting record lows earlier this month after the ‌coalition government collapsed ‌and the exchange rate could afford greater flexibility given ⁠current ​foreign ⁠exchange reserves levels, central bank ⁠Governor Mugur Isarescu said ​on Tuesday.

He added inflation could ⁠peak in July at ⁠around ​11%, and that the inflation and ⁠economic outlook depended on ⁠having ⁠a new government installed.
