In a bid to counter anti-incumbency sentiments and revitalize party leadership, Congress leader M Veerappa Moily has endorsed a reshuffle in the Karnataka Cabinet. Moily highlighted the necessity for new faces, suggesting that the introduction of fresh talent could invigorate aspiring legislators and sustain public support.

Moily emphasized the significance of steady representation in the Rajya Sabha, noting the importance of experienced leaders despite Congress not being in power at the national level. He expressed confidence that Congress’s high command will judiciously consider talent and experience for effective governance both in Karnataka and on the national platform.

The strategic reshuffle follows the resignation of Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, accepted by Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot. Planning for a robust government formation is underway, with Karnataka Congress President DK Shivakumar and senior leaders engaging in crucial discussions, emphasizing representation and ministerial portfolios in the forthcoming cabinet led by Shivakumar.
