Assam's Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma has revealed that the council of ministers will see an expansion with new ministers being sworn in on June 5.
Sarma, who was recently inaugurated for a second consecutive term, did not disclose the number or names of the incoming ministers. The BJP-led NDA secured another term by winning 102 of 126 seats in the state elections held in April, with the BJP itself claiming 82 seats, and its allies, AGP and BPF, each securing 10 seats.
