President Donald Trump has announced that a Senate hearing to approve Jay Clayton as U.S. spy chief will be delayed until James McDonald is confirmed as U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.

President Donald Trump said that Wednesday's Senate hearing to approve Jay Clayton to be the next U.S. spy chief was being canceled and would not go forward until James McDonald is approved to be U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York.
In a Truth Social post, Trump also said that he would not approve the renewal of Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act without his Save America Act going along with it.
