President Donald Trump signed a proclamation on Thursday instituting tariffs on drones and their components, according to a statement from the White House. This move includes a 100% ad valorem tariff on certain drones deemed sensitive to national security.

The White House further announced a 25% tariff on smaller drones, while a 15% duty applies to drones and components imported from the European Union, Japan, Liechtenstein, South Korea, Switzerland, and Taiwan.

Additionally, drones arriving from the UK are subject to a 10% ad valorem tariff, emphasizing the administration's strategic focus on heightened security measures through economic means.
