China warns Hong Kong protesters not to mistake restraint for weakness

Radical protesters in Hong Kong are pushing the city into an abyss, China's Hong Kong affairs office said on Tuesday, warning that they must not misjudge the situation and mistake China's restraint for weakness.

A spokesman for the office told a news briefing in Beijing that anti-China forces were the "behind-the-scenes masterminds" instigating violence in the Chinese territory.
