Elusive Leopard Spotted Near Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Mall Sparks Search Operation

A leopard was captured on CCTV roaming near Prozone Mall in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Maharashtra, creating a stir among forest authorities, officials reported. The footage, which went viral Thursday, shows the big cat wandering outside the mall's main gate in the early hours of Wednesday, triggering a search operation. Forest officials have yet to locate the animal.
Deputy Conservator of Forest, Dadasaheb Taur, revealed, 'But the leopard has now been spotted around 5 km away from the place where it was seen earlier. It shows that it crossed the Jalna Road area that passes through the heart of the city.'
The search continues with cages installed around the mall. Honorary wildlife warden Dr. Kishor Pathak speculated, 'There is a possibility that this is a female leopard. She might be in search of her young ones.'
