Tragedy Strikes as Four Youths Drown in Ganges During Holy Dip
Four young individuals, aged 15 to 20, drowned in the Ganges River in Bhagalpur, Bihar, during a holy dip on the first Monday of Shravan month. The victims were part of a group of 11, from which seven managed to swim to safety. The bodies were later recovered by state disaster relief divers and sent for post-mortem examination.

In a tragic incident, four young individuals, aged between 15 and 20, drowned while taking a holy dip in the Ganges River in Bhagalpur district, Bihar, on Monday.
According to Superintendent of Police Naugachia, the victims were from Naya Tola village and were part of a group of 11 who had come to the riverbank for a dip on the auspicious first Monday of Shravan month. During the ritual, a strong current swept them away. While seven managed to swim to safety, four others were less fortunate.
The deceased's bodies were recovered by divers from the State Disaster Relief Force and have been sent for post-mortem examinations, the SP confirmed.
