Four Injured in Mumbai Gas Leak Blaze

Four individuals, including two children, sustained burn injuries in a fire caused by a gas leak in Mumbai's Lalbaug area. The fire, which broke out on a building's third floor, was contained within 20 minutes. Victims are receiving treatment at local hospitals, with one in critical condition.

Four individuals, including two young children, suffered burn injuries following a fire triggered by a gas leak in a residential building in Mumbai's Lalbaug area early Tuesday morning, according to officials.

The fire officials reported that the blaze originated from a room on the third floor of the Meghwadi Building on SS Road at around 5.10 am. The flames were successfully extinguished by 5.30 am.

Sources indicated that the fire resulted from an explosion due to a gas cylinder leak. The injured include two ten-year-old children who sustained 15 to 20 percent burns, a woman with 70 to 90 percent burns, and a 27-year-old man with 60 to 70 percent burns. The woman and children are currently being treated at Kasturba Hospital, while the man is critically injured and receiving care at Masina Hospital in Byculla.
