The Goa government on Wednesday issued show-cause notices to more than 100 contractors over road potholes, emphasizing that government engineers would be held responsible for any accidents.
Chief Minister Pramod Sawant, who also oversees the Public Works Department (PWD), assured the public that roads would be pothole-free by the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.
Sawant detailed that contractors must prioritize pothole filling as per the defect liability clause, ensuring there would be no additional financial burden on the state.
