Ajit Pawar Drives Maharashtra's Infrastructure Development

Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar, stressed the importance of timely project completion to prevent cost overruns. He discussed project coordination, traffic congestion solutions like the Pune Ring Road, and other crucial infrastructural developments, including a potential AIIMS in Pune and improved connectivity in rural areas.

Maharashtra's Deputy Chief Minister, Ajit Pawar, has underscored the need for efficient coordination in infrastructure projects to ensure their timely completion. During a Project Monitoring Unit meeting, Pawar highlighted how delays contribute to escalated costs, impacting the state's finances negatively.

Addressing Pune's persistent traffic congestion, he emphasized prioritizing the Pune Ring Road project. With the increasing number of vehicles, the demand on the city’s transport system intensifies. Pawar has called for acceleration in ongoing projects like metro lines, flyovers, and the ring road to enhance commuting conditions.

Pawar also urged officials to assess the viability of rural connectivity projects like the Karjat-Bhimashankar-Khed-Shirur road. The review embraced several infrastructure initiatives, including a proposed AIIMS in Pune, a skywalk in Lonavala, and various regional and educational facilities, reflecting his comprehensive approach to state's development.
