A minor fire erupted at the rooftop restaurant of Hotel Fairmont near Mumbai's Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport on Saturday evening, causing a brief moment of panic.

Authorities confirmed that the blaze, which broke out at around 5.30 pm, was classified as a 'level one' incident—a minor blaze—and fortunately resulted in no injuries.

Firefighters swiftly responded to the emergency, rescuing 70-80 individuals from the 10-storey building. The fire was contained to the air-conditioning unit and exhaust ducting on the terrace. Investigations are ongoing to determine the exact cause of the fire.
