Maharashtra Unveils Ambitious 'Innovation City' Plan

Maharashtra Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis announced the creation of a 300-acre 'innovation city' in Navi Mumbai aimed at driving the state's economic growth. The announcement came during an IT industry event organized by Nasscom.
Tata Sons Chairman N Chandrasekaran will draft a detailed paper outlining the city's features. With the backdrop of a new international airport and plans for an entirely new city, Maharashtra aims to boost investment significantly.
In addition, 10,000 women are being trained in artificial intelligence through a collaboration with Microsoft, as the state eyes becoming India's AI capital. Fadnavis also envisioned a successful Kumbh Mela in 2027, leveraging technological advancements.
