Rescue operations in disaster-hit Dharali village gained momentum on Friday as 566 more stranded pilgrims were airlifted to safety, according to officials.
Air rescue remains the primary option since the Gangotri National Highway and several motorable roads are damaged. A total of 840 people have been rescued so far, but at least 50 remain missing.
Advanced equipment is being deployed to locate the missing, while helicopters are dispatching essential supplies. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami oversees operations to restore normalcy, urging collective support for relief efforts.
