The monsoon has wreaked havoc across Pakistan, with flash floods in the northwest claiming 377 lives. Karachi, home to over 20 million, has experienced intense rainfall not seen in years, resulting in at least seven deaths since Tuesday, according to provincial spokesperson Abdul Wahid Halepoto.
The deluge caused widespread disruption, affecting electricity, communication services, and mobility. Karachi Electric faced challenges in restoring services due to flooding and congestion, while authorities intensified rescue efforts to clear roads and restore utilities amid ongoing heavy rainfall predictions.
