Seeking solutions to Bengaluru's notorious Outer Ring Road (ORR) traffic jam, Chief Minister Siddaramaiah has approached Wipro founder Azim Premji. The proposal involves allowing a limited number of vehicles through Wipro's campus, contingent on agreed-upon terms, to alleviate the pressing congestion.

The ORR, a crucial IT corridor, frequently endures traffic snarls, impacting the city's mobility and productivity. Siddaramaiah praised Wipro's role in Karnataka's IT landscape, calling their cooperation critical to improving urban living conditions.

In a letter to Premji, dated September 19, the chief minister stressed that the congestion at Iblur junction during peak hours was a significant urban challenge. Recent appeals from local industry leaders, including former Infosys CFO Mohandas Pai, further underscore the urgency of finding solutions to ORR's traffic woes. Siddaramaiah suggested that routing some traffic through Wipro could reduce congestion by up to 30% and urged prompt collaboration between Wipro and state officials.
