Odisha's Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi has unveiled an ambitious infrastructure blueprint worth more than Rs 3,700 crore for Keonjhar district. Highlighting his vision, Majhi outlined a slew of developmental projects, from road expansions to state-of-the-art facilities, aiming to bolster regional economic growth.
Key projects include a four-lane ring road in Barbil costing Rs 2,300 crore and a bypass in Keonjhar town at Rs 428 crore, alongside a tech park and data center. The redevelopment plan also encompasses a stadium, an airstrip, and a regional plant resource center. These efforts underscore the district's pivotal role in Odisha's development.
Majhi emphasized Keonjhar's natural resources and the upcoming mega steel plant as vital economic engines. Meanwhile, the Maa Tarini temple project's Rs 313-crore investment promises to transform the site into a modern religious hub, enhancing amenities while preserving cultural heritage.
