A fire in Saktapur village, Khandwa district, Madhya Pradesh, resulted in the death of Suraj Rathore, a 50-year-old man. The blaze, believed to have started due to a short circuit, quickly spread to two adjacent houses.
The incident was reported under the jurisdiction of the Narmada Nagar police station. According to Superintendent of Police Manoj Kumar Rai, Rathore was asleep in one of the affected homes and succumbed to the flames.
Emergency responders brought the situation under control with six fire engines, but the cause remains under investigation as authorities strive to prevent future tragedies.
