Blazing Challenges: Fire Reignites at Navi Mumbai Scrap Yard

A fire reignited at a Navi Mumbai scrap yard, causing a swift response from local fire departments. Despite efforts to control the blaze on Sunday, the accumulation of scrap materials led to another outbreak on Monday. Thick smoke hindered firefighting efforts, though no casualties were reported.

A subsequent fire erupted at the same Navi Mumbai site where scrap materials initially caught fire just a day prior, officials reported on Monday. Fortunately, no casualties occurred during this latest incident.

This flare-up is attributed to an accumulation of scrap materials in Bhandarli village, which also saw a fire outbreak the previous Sunday afternoon.

Firefighting teams from Airoli, Koparkhairane, and Nerul, along with Thane Municipal Corporation's fire engines, initially brought the situation under control. However, the fire reignited due to residual scrap material, prompting a dispatched water bowser and an earth-excavating machine to manage the lingering debris and dense smoke.
