Uttar Pradesh is bracing for a significant rise in temperatures with the fading impact of the recent western disturbance, according to the Meteorological Centre.
A report by the India Meteorological Department (IMD) indicates a decrease in rainfall activity across the state, except for potential isolated thundershowers in the Terai region and adjoining eastern districts.
Despite the expected temperature increase of 5-7 degrees over the next week, heatwave conditions are unlikely. The broader forecast predicts dry weather following May 8, with only sparse cloud activity and light rain predicted around Lucknow on Thursday.
