Heatwave conditions intensified across Rajasthan on Tuesday as parts of the state witnessed a soaring rise in temperatures. The Meteorological Department has predicted that upcoming days will see a marginal increase in both maximum and minimum temperatures.
Barmer emerged as the hottest area, registering a sweltering 48.3 degrees Celsius. Other areas such as Phalodi reached 46.4 degrees, followed by Jaisalmer at 45.8 degrees, Chittorgarh with 45.6 degrees, and Bikaner at 45 degrees. Jaipur, the state's capital, wasn't spared either, recording a peak of 43.2 degrees.
These extreme conditions suggest a looming heatwave threat for Jodhpur and Bikaner divisions, as temperatures across all major cities surpassed the 41 degrees mark. Residents are advised to take necessary precautions as the state braces for the intensified heat.
