NBA: Mumbai to host 2019 preseason games in first for India

Cricket-mad India has been on the radar of the NBA. Ex-NFL WR Green-Beckham arrested, faces felony drug charge

Former NFL player Dorial Green-Beckham was arrested late Wednesday in Missouri and faces charges of felony drug possession and resisting arrest after he was caught with nearly a pound of marijuana, Greene County police said. According to police records, Green-Beckham, 25, was arrested for possession of less than 35 grams of marijuana and booked into the Greene County jail at 3:18 a.m. Thursday and is being held without bond.

Reports: Rapper Travis Scott to perform at SB halftime

Rapper and six-time Grammy nominee Travis Scott will perform with headliner Maroon 5 during the Super Bowl LIII halftime show in Atlanta, TMZ and Rolling Stone reported Thursday. Scott's No. 1 single "Sicko Mode" was nominated for a Grammy for best rap performance and best rap song, and his latest album Astroworld also earned a Grammy nomination for best rap album.

Congress votes to honor Gleason with Congressional Gold Medal

The U.S. House of Representatives on Thursday passed legislation to award former New Orleans Saints defensive back Steve Gleason the Congressional Gold Medal, the highest honor Congress can bestow on a civilian. The award will recognize Gleason's efforts in raising money and awareness for research into the battle against Amyotrophic Lateral Sclerosis (ALS). Doctors first diagnosed Gleason with ALS in 2011.

Reports: Ex-USC assistant in bribery scandal nears plea deal

Former USC assistant men's basketball coach Tony Bland, fired in January after his indictment on four felony charges related to a federal bribery case, reportedly is close to reaching a plea agreement with prosecutors. Jutanugarn, Lee to renew rivalry in Australia

The 2019 LPGA season promises early excitement with world No. 1 Ariya Jutanugarn and rival Minjee Lee set to clash at the Women's Australian Open championship from Feb. 14-17. Both players confirmed entry in the tournament at The Grange Golf Club in Adelaide, the Australian Golf Digest reported Thursday.
