Chennaiyin FC have bolstered their squad by signing Colombian striker Wilmar Jordan Gil for the 2024-25 Indian Super League season, the club announced Tuesday.

Jordan, a veteran of the ISL with stints at NorthEast United FC and Punjab FC, joined Chennaiyin on a one-year deal, marking the club's fifth signing for the upcoming season.

Coach Owen Coyle expressed his excitement about the acquisition, highlighting Jordan’s scoring prowess with 24 goals in 33 ISL appearances. ''We are delighted to add that kind of firepower to our attack,'' Coyle said.

Jordan also commented on his new journey with Chennaiyin FC, stating, ''With a lot of work, humility, and sacrifice, we can fulfill all the objectives we set for ourselves and win the title.''

Jordan’s career has seen him excel in various leagues worldwide, including Venezuela, South Korea, Bulgaria, China, the UAE, Portugal, and Colombia.
