PV Sindhu has expressed no regrets regarding her preparations for the Games, asserting she did everything in her power to be in peak condition, though she conceded that her defense fell short in the pre-quarterfinal match against China's He Bing Jiao on Thursday.

Sindhu took the Chinese world number 9 close in the initial game, but a series of unforced errors allowed Bing Jiao to clinch the match 21-19, 21-14 in just 56 minutes. While Sindhu did manage to dictate certain points, Bing Jiao's superior attacking play proved decisive.

Sindhu reflected on her performance, noting, 'I should have controlled the mistakes on my defense; that was the crucial aspect.' Despite rigorous training in Germany and mentoring from Prakash Padukone, Sindhu said, 'Everybody worked hard. We've done whatever we could—rest is destiny. I don't regret it.'
