Punjab FC has signed Croatian defender Ivan Novoselec and Norwegian striker Mushaga Bakenga for the upcoming ISL season. Novoselec, 29, previously played for FC Istiklol in Tajikistan. Bakenga, 31, has a prolific career, scoring 112 goals in 354 matches. The club believes their experience will be crucial for success.
Punjab FC has announced the signing of Croatian defender Ivan Novoselec and Norwegian striker Mushaga Bakenga ahead of the upcoming ISL season. Novoselec, aged 29, last played for Tajikistan's FC Istiklol, where he won the Tajikistan Higher League.
Bakenga, 31, previously played for Cyprus's Apollon Limassol. Starting his career with Nationalkameratene, Bakenga has played for numerous European clubs, netting 112 goals in 354 competitive matches. His most successful stint was with Rosenborg, scoring 16 goals in one season and winning multiple titles.
'We have two very exciting and experienced players in our ranks for the season,' said PFC Technical Director Nikolaos Topoliatis. 'Ivan's defensive strength and experience, combined with Mushaga's proven goal-scoring abilities, will further strengthen our team,' he added.
