Liverpool's formidable forward, Mohamed Salah, has once again been honored by the Football Writers' Association, earning the men's player of the year title for a remarkable third time. Joining him in the spotlight is Arsenal's Alessia Russo, who clinched the women's player of the year award.

Salah stands out not only for his goal-scoring prowess, topping the Premier League chart with 28 goals, but also for leading Liverpool to a league victory. His victory was emphatic, winning 90% of votes from over 900 FWA members, the largest margin of the century. Virgil Van Dijk followed as a distant second, with Alexander Isak and Declan Rice rounding out the top contenders.

In the women's category, England's Alessia Russo has excelled by leading Arsenal to the Women's Champions League final, scoring eight critical goals. She surpassed Manchester City's Khadija Shaw and other notable players to secure the award. Both Salah and Russo will receive their accolades at a ceremony in London later this month.
